Annihilation Map Pack

I don't feel like I should be doing a report on such a bad subject, but I feel that a release this big deserves attention, excluding PS3 owners. So I'll be taking you through a tour of the zombie map, and will do a later report on the full map pack, not tonight of course, but I will get on it first thing in the morning. But for those interested here's the trailer, even though I trust you have seen this multiple times.

Sony CEO speaks about the recent PlayStation Network outage.

The recent hack of the PlayStation Network was a major point of discussion at Sony's recent shareholders' meeting, in which Sony's own CEO Howard Stringer voiced his opinions on why the company was the target of such a coordinated and devastating cyber attack.

As reported by Reuters, Stringer discussed the hack with shareholders in Tokyo, an event which forced the PlayStation Network offline for more than three weeks and lowered Sony's stock price as much as 16 percent. Though it seems obvious that the attack was catalyzed by Sony's efforts to end unauthorized modification of its PlayStation 3 console (which hit its peak when the company sued the man responsible for the jailbreak), no person or group has come forward to claim responsibility. But Stringer seems to agree with the consensus.
"We believe that [Sony] first became the subject of attack because we tried to protect our IP, our content, in this case videogames," Stringer said. However, he did seem to defer blame from Sony by, according to Reuters, referencing a "growing list of other companies and organizations that have been hacked."

The fact that many more companies other than Sony have been victimized by hackers recently suggests to Stringer "that cyber terrorism is now a global force, affecting many more companies than just Sony." He continued, "if hackers can hack Citibank, the FBI and the CIA, and yesterday the video game company Electronic Arts, then it's a negative situation that governments may have to resolve."

Additionally, the Wall Street Journal is reporting that Howard Stringer has taken a 16% pay cut, "reflecting the electronics and media giant's third straight year of losses." This report was made on and updated June 28th.

F.3.A.R

                                  Fear 3 Promo Art.jpg
Picture belongs to Warner Bros. and associates.

Singleplayer

So the ending to the FEAR saga has hit the shelves, and I'm here to tell you if this game is worth your hard earned dollars, if you've never played F.E.A.R or F.E.A.R 2, this game does not require you to play the predecessors before, the new installment puts in a new aspect to the story mode, Co-op where you can play as Point Man and Paxton Fettel, which adds a new element to the game style, which in-turn could go either way, as Fettel you have the power to assist Point Man in combat with, telekinesis, possession, stun, and a few other abilities not listed, this game features online and offline Co-op, this also works a little like Lego StarWars, once you complete a level as Point Man you can go back and replay the level as Fettel.

Multiplayer

The Multiplayer will be featuring four game modes which include, "Fucking Run!" "Contactions" "Soul Survivor" and "Soul King". Fucking Run features 4 players running through waves of enemies, all while also trying to run through Alma's "Wall of Death", the players start off in a safe room and proceed through the levels, killing enemies within a time limit, and if one of the players get "downed", then one of the other players may revive him, but if just one player dies it's game over! Contractions Is a survival based game mode where you have to barricade and stock up against 20 waves of enemies, similar to one of the scenes in the single player mode, as you progress through the waves, a "fog" creeps closer and closer making the map more and more dangerous with each wave. Soul Survivor Has four players pitted against each other, where as one of the players is a "Spectre" where he/she has to posses enemies to kill the other three players and turn them into Spectres before time runs out which, in-turn makes it more difficult for the remaining survivors as more are turned. Soul King Is a knock off of "Soul Survivor" but with the exception that all of the player play as
Spectres, where the players have to posses enemies and battle, where when players are killed they drop Souls. The multiplayer modes encourage Teamwork and Cooperation to prevail.

Overall this installment is looking to top the predecessors, probably not so much in story, but more as in gameplay. Also, sorry for the sloppy grammar and lack of detail, I am in somewhat of a rush, but anyway happy gaming! :D

N64

Feel like playing N64,  except you don't have an N64? No worries I can show you a few steps to start playing N64 on your computer. Things you need*

*A playstation 3 controller, with an USB cable.**
** Or an PC Gaming Controller.
You will need to download some software, if you are not comfortable with this, I would advise not too, it will cause more worry then it's worth.  First you will need to download an N64 game, follow this link and choose a game of you liking.http://www.emuparadise.me/roms-isos-games.php , Once you have chosen a game, please proceed to download an emulator. follow this link, choose your operating system and pick the emulator of your choice. http://www.emuparadise.me/Nintendo_64_Emulators/9, keep in mind you will also be able to download games for many other systems, just go to the emulator section, located on the left side bar, then once you have an emulator, choice a game of your liking from the gaming section. But once you have downloaded your N64 emulator, you will need to setup your PS3 controller, which you will need a driver for, please browse this site until you find the proper drive for your operating system, I trust that if you are still reading this that you will be plenty able to handle this yourself. http://www.motioninjoy.com/download, once you have that setup, play your classic games, and enjoy!
